Daisy and Lee tied the knot during an intimate ceremony at the Walled Garden located on the property of the San Diego Botanic Garden in Encinitas, CA. The day was picture perfect; not a cloud in the sky and even a view of the ocean could be seen from the gardens. Each meeting I had with Daisy and Lee before their big day showed me how much care and thought they put into all of their wedding details. I feel so fortunate that I had the opportunity to be their day of coordinator. The San Diego Botanic Garden has distinct yet cohesive spaces that can be used for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. It was truly amazing to see how seamless the day was. The vendors we worked with were top notch and transitions flowed effortlessly. I wish Daisy and Lee nothing but love and happiness as they begin this new season of marriage!

The beginning of this story does not start in a field of wild ferns on the road to the Oregon coast or nestled between varietals of ferns at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden. It starts with two people. We will call them, "The Ferns." They met in Los Angeles, one born and raised; the other a transplant. What they had in common brought them together in the most beautiful way. As their friendship grew into a relationship, they both knew that marriage was the next step and that it wasn't too far away. When the day finally came, there was nothing but love, joy, and happiness; together forever was exactly what they wanted. From one adventure to the next, they traveled the world in search of the most beautiful sights that they could witness together. Out of their love came a beautiful baby girl, who inspired them to do big things and to dream about what could be. The story continues and so does their love. Look and see the day they became, "The Ferns."
I wanted to take a moment to say hello and to welcome you to Fancy Fern Events! My name is Lauren Fernandez and I am one of the "Ferns" behind Fancy Fern Events. My husband, Adrian, is my best friend and number one fan who has supported my dream to become an event planner since day one. It's hard to express how excited I am to officially launch Fancy Fern Events because it is something I am so passionate about. From a young age, I have always found joy in organizing and coordinating people, places, and things. The first event I ever planned, with the help of my mom, was one of my birthday parties in elementary school. I took my closest friends to get manicures, then on a little shopping spree at Old Navy followed by dinner. There is something about the excitement of planning an event and then seeing it all come together that just makes me so happy! I liken it to the process of finding the perfect gift for someone you love. When you find it, the hardest part is waiting until you can give it to them. In planning events, the hardest part for me is patiently waiting until the day of the event to see all of my hard work come together. I truly enjoy every step of the process from start to finish and I believe it is a privilege to work alongside my clients to bring their vision to life. Thanks for taking a moment to check out my website and I look forward to having the opportunity to plan, design, and coordinate your event one day!
